Author Information
Karen Wallace

Karen Wallace was born in Canada and grew up in a log cabin in the backwoods of Quebec where she spent her early years playing in the river, climbing trees and building toboggan runs in the winter.
Karen came to England when she was eleven to go to boarding school, however, eighteen months later she left there to finish her secondary education at a day school in Surrey. A brief spell in France and a design course later, Karen successfully completed an honours degree in English at London University, after which, she and her husband went to Toronto to work in the publishing business. After living in Ireland for several years, Karen and her family returned to England in 1982 and Karen began writing for children full time in 1991. Picture of Karen Wallace
